Primordial

You start as a single cell in an ocean four billion years old. Something moves toward you through the dark. You decide what it is.                                                                                                    

That's the first choice. There will be others.            

Primordial is a text adventure about living every life between then and now. You divide. You drift. You grow a body and learn to use it. You haul yourself onto land, which is heavier than water and more honest about gravity.     

Eventually you wake to an alarm, drink coffee before it gets cold, sit in traffic, eat dinner while watching the window go dark.

The story doesn't rush you.                               

Somewhere in the deep warm dark, a signal has been present since before you existed. It never introduced itself. It just waited. You'll notice it eventually — most people notice it in the ocean, some not until the cave — but it has been following every version of you across every extinction, every crawl back from nothing.

It has been building toward you.                          

The ending is yours. There are a few. They're all honest.
